dealing with a travel agency, you can sometimes get a better
deal by going to one which specializes in the type of trip
you’re planning. You should be very honest in telling them
your travel budget.
You
can sometimes get lower rates by your willingness to be
somewhat inconvenienced – such as several connecting flights
instead of a direct one, or flying out of Toronto rather
than your local airport. There is often enough savings to
make it well worth the inconvenience.
The
agency should provide you with very specific information
for each part of your trip. Along with your itinerary, they
will have brochures and various other information to help
you along the way. You should get confirmation numbers for
all hotels and other reservations, such as ferries, etc.
