| Wineries
There
are many fine wineries in the upstate New York area. Most
of them have tours and tastings that will give you a chance
to sample their wares. They can assist you in choosing the
right wines for your wedding. Ask about purchasing in case
lots directly from the winery.
Some
wineries provide special labels at your request. Obviously,
these must be ordered in quantity and there is usually a
one-time set up charge. You can order small bottles of wine
or champagne with your own label to be used as favors. Or
you can order full-size bottles to put in out-of-town guests’
rooms as a thank you for their making the effort to join
you on your special day.
A
good number of the area wineries have restaurants serving
excellent food and, of course, wines. You could consider
one of these for a rehearsal dinner, bridesmaids’ luncheon
or a Sunday brunch for out-of-town guests. A few wineries
have reception facilities as well.
